Staff were so friendly and remembered our names and fantasic that they offered 15 percent discount on food and drinks, everything was spotless.
Just one small thing was that the cleaning staff wrapped the door at 10.45 and she was a little rude but checkout wasn't until 11am.

Breakfast was disappointing, I thought the cold buffet was underwhelming, we asked what one of the yogurt pots was and the reply was “only the chef knows” For a 5 star property ,2 Rosette Restaurant ,mini pastries, small glasses of fruit salad , looked liked it had been prepared, days in advance as the fruits had bled into each other!! No muesli, no granola, Poor selection of Charcuterie, Prosciutto, Salami Napoli, only ? ( Plain Ham , Mortadella, maybe as well especially for international guests?) Boiled Egg Station maybe ( Healthy option) Celery, ( dry) Carrots (dry) , Cheese , ( Stilton at breakfast strange!!) better thought out selection of all cold offerings is a must. This is often the last chance to impress your guests , as well as checkout, although the stay may have been exceptionally good it could be ruined by the breakfast, Had the full English, Menu states Smoked streaky bacon , got back bacon ( 1 piece curled up over cooked , as if it had been cooked in a fryer and left to dry out under the lights!!!) intact the only thing that was cooked to order was the poached eggs. When I asked for it to be changed , the back bacon returned but had been cooked flat and sliced to resemble streaky!! And there was the mushroom missing. Breakfast duty manager, was more than helpful but replied the breakfast chef had left , it was 10.08am , Do all in all , if you over À la Carte breakfast , then the plates should be cooked , to order , not hot held , or if the produce is hot held , cook little and often, I think there is more focus on the presentation of the full English and not the standard of cooking , ( seasoned tomatoes, Mushrooms , and definitely the quality of the products being used in a 5 star property!)
I think the above explains , but also I was surprised nobody informed us that we had to stay in a disabled room? I understand if the property is fully booked , that’s ok but informing your guest of any changes, may be worthwhile.

Breakfast was pretty good. Guy at breakfast was great. Great view from the breakfast room.
It’s a bit tired feeling. The entrance isn’t exactly grand feeling. It’s fine just nothing very special.
