Located at 100 King Street in the central conservation area, The Rex occupies the former Midland Bank, one of Manchester’s most distinguished buildings. what was not the like! the hotel was absolutely incredible, as were the staff. the room was spotless and decorated stunningly, with added touches i requested as a surprise before arrival… and they did it exactly how i asked! they went above and beyond (the staff) to make sure everything was perfect for me - and even wrote a personal congratulations message too from them! The food in this hotel too…. wow. exceptional. the rooftop bar too. speechless. just an overall amazing stay, place, and i would 100% stay here again.
the ONLY thing i can say negatively & this isn’t even about the hotel…. google maps doesn’t lead you to it! it sends you half way up the street & says you’ve reached your destination. so we spent a good 10 minutes searching before having to ring reception for directions!

We stayed here to attend the wedding as we were part of the wedding party. Staff were super helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond on several occasions. Especially Jason, nothing too much trouble. Room was a great size and very comfortable - wish we could have stayed longer!
Bit of a mix up at breakfast - unfortunately couldn't enjoy what was ordered together as came out separately leaving some items cold. This didn't hinder our stay though! Only other minor detail re the wedding canape service... the terrace we sat on had one person come with a plate of salmon blini's (we didn't eat fish) and no other staff came to this terrace with any other options so guests here did not get any canapes.
