I booked a suite for my stay at gotham on arrival the reception staff were friendly, on entering my room I was surprised to see a complimentary bottle of prosecco which was a nice touch as it was my birthday 2 days earlier, really nice bathroom, comfortable bed and really loved the gold bath in the room which was one of the reasons I chose this suite
The only negative thing about my stay is that after check out I noticed something on my bill that I believed might be a mistake, I have since sent 2 emails regarding this one to reception and one to guest relations, it has been three days and I have not received any acknowledgement or response from either emails this has ruined what was otherwise a good stay

Great location very central and had a great potential.
Building works and builders overlooking our windows. In places dirty/dusty so could do with better cleaning although it might be difficult during the building works.
Workers in the reception area although not intrusive it didn’t make us feel like we were in a hotel.

Fab and quirky . I have wanted to stay here for a long time , the room was amazing.
The staff were great, the door man , the fabulous Alex who booked us in and the great barman on Friday evening that served us drinks for the room when he was closing .
The disappointment was the lady who checked us out , we didn’t sleep all night due to the noise outside our room of someone going in and out of doors , our room was at the end of the corridor with store rooms on either side . So it was unlikely to be other guests . The lady on the desk couldn’t give a hoot ! Very dismissive . Took my email address after lots of time trying to explain the problem , I think to get rid of me, but still waiting for contact. Ruined what was a fabulous stay .

Fab shower, fun decor, lovely staff.
Embedding a tip at point of checking out can make for an awkward interaction between guest and staff when you ask to take it off the bill.
The room was lovely but already very expensive, so asking for a hefty tip on top of it means we left feeling a bit uncomfortable.
It’s not the staff’s fault, it’s the fault of this new practice.
If we could go back to the old way of tipping as an extra, rather than it being written in and expected, it would feel better.
We love Gotham but probably won’t stay again because of that bit.

I’ve stayed at Hotel Gotham a few times and absolutely love it! The rooms are spacious, clean and so cosy! The staff are incredible, special shout out to Louis and Jeremiah who work at Brass bar, the attention to detail and service was impeccable!
My go to hotel in Manchester!
